Loops & Threads Squeaky Clean Sparkle Yarn Review

Loops & Threads Squeaky Clean Sparkle Yarn is a large skein which enables you to knit either a large scrubbie, or several smaller scrubbies and not worry about running out of yarn. The sparkle is fun, and it feels a little like you are knitting with Christmas decorations.

As I’ve shared before, I do have some texture issues, and this yarn was not so fun to knit with for me. The texture of it is quite scrubby (yay!), but that didn’t feel great in my hands while knitting (sad).

This yarn would definitely make scrubbies that are doing the tough jobs in the kitchen. I would not use it on easy scrubbing since if you’re like me you may have texture issues, but when you got to scrub that counter – this is your scrubby!

I was very surprised by the durability of this yarn. Like I said, it felt a little like knitting with Christmas decorations, but only in looks. This chain and fringe stuck together with absolutely NO shedding. And I tested it while knitting, I pulled on that yarn hard! I was purposely rough with it to try it out a bit. And it held strong.

It is also difficult to read your knitting so if you do decide to follow my 10-st scrubby pattern be sure to count your stitches and not skip a wrap. Of course, when it comes to novelty yarns, I do expect that they will not produce good stitch definition, so it’s not a surprise or a slight.

Finally, I did notice that even though the yarn was quite grabby and liked to wrap around my needles and around my fabric … There were NO tangles. I did not experience any yarn barf. The “Pull from center” worked like a dream!

Overall I was pleased with the finished object this yarn can create and would use it again.
